Work has just started on a large two storey side and rear extension and single storey rear extension to this property in Stannington. The neighbours disputed the foundation work as their right under the Party Wall Act.
Their appointed structural engineer requested details of how the new foundations would be constructed to avoid undermining the neighbours’ foundations, particularly the conservatory.
A design has been presented using steel beams which has been approved and work is now under way.
