Brief: To replace the existing conservatory with a full width, single storey rear extension, open to the existing house.

We worked without our customer at Farmoor Gardens to design a single storey rear extension that would replace their existing conservatory. They wanted to be able to extend their existing kitchen and have an open kitchen and living space in the extension.

The single storey rear extension design includes bi-fold doors and window situated above worktop level on the rear, and Velux windows in the roof to allow for as much natural light as possible.

To allow for the extension to be completely open to the existing house, we provided structural calculations for a portal frame.
